Clients Background: Having worked extensively with Burberry on the development of their custom exhibition stand concepts they challenged Artisan Retail Joinery to realize a challenging new bespoke exhibition stand concept for their new launch ‘My Burberry’ fragrance brand which involved a floating giant bottle of the fragrance emerging from a starburst explosion of light. A custom joinery services challenge if there ever was one.
Project Scope & Budget: The client brief was for a new bespoke exhibition stand in the main terminal of Schiphol airport in Amsterdam, Holland. As well as the custom exhibition stands on the site, the centrepiece was to hero their new fragrance brand in a unique 3D fashion. Extensive research and development was necessary to mimic a 3D ‘star burst’ effect with the client to achieve their expectation which included multiple prototyping and a testing programme. Through a close working relationship forged previously we presented numerous lighting and rigging options with our custom joinery prototypes and agreed a final solution which was then cost engineered for a roll-out programme. Its first employment was utilized in a high footfall promotional site in Schiphol airport, Amsterdam.
Approach & Solution: In depth research of lighting solutions was required leading to innovative delivery of lighting surrounding the product. Following exhaustive testing of varying light sources a LED light source was employed and the illumination was fed through painted acrylic tubing to mimic a bright star exploding. A true reflection of Artisan Retail Joinery creativeness and high quality bespoke joinery.
Conclusion: The custom exhibition stand design concept was then employed throughout the following marketing campaign gaining the brand much greater visibility through being the eye-catching bespoke window display joinery centre piece on promotional expeditions both in the UK and mainland Europe.
